Solar panels have zero moving parts

A panel just sits there. No spinning turbine, no pistons, nothing that grinds itself down. Sunlight knocks electrons loose in silicon and that becomes current, full stop. Because there is so little to wear out, makers happily back panels for around 25 years, and plenty keep working past that with only a slow, gentle drop in output.
